Photo Diy Of Fuel Filter Change
Greetings all.
Since I recently had to change out my '98 E320 Fuel Filter, I thought I would share it (photographically) so you can see it's not a difficult job, even for a novice mechanic like myself. I claim no expertise, and am just following the WIS procedure.
Enjoy, and comments are always appreciated!

Very nice!
Thank you.
Aftermarket parts are around $35. and factory parts are arround $70.
Where is the fuel pump 1994 e320 mercedes
underneath the drive side passage seat in fuel tank...
The fuel capacity of 1996 Mercedes e320 is 80 litres.
Somewhere between the fuel tank and the engine. Get under the car and follow the fuel lines.
The fuel filter on my 1999 E320 is located on the drivers side just in front of the rear tire. There is a plastic cover with 3 plastic nuts; remove those and you will see the filter. DominicArnold@cox.net
the fuel pump relay on the Mercedes E320 in underneth the car itself.

Fuel pump? It was on my 1998 E320. $1,100 with filter.
take the cover off under the car its on the drivers side rear near the axle clamp both lines going into the tank
To the best of my knowledge, as an owner of the E class, the filter and the sending unit are contained IN THE FUEL TANK; hence the reason for the $300.00+ charge to change it...
