Where is the fuel filter on a 2002 Nissan Altima?
IN THE FUEL PUMP. IN ORDER TO REPLACE A SIMPLE FUEL FILTER, YOU MUST REPLACE ENTIRE FUEL PUMP AT THE COST OF WELL OVER $500.00
The fuel filter in a 2002 Nissan Altima is located in the fuel tank and is a non-serviceable item. That is what the dealer told me. You can always call up the dealer and ask them where something is located, after all you paid thousands of dollars and bought a warrenty so don't be shy about calling them up and asking them questions. However dealers can be expensive, so shop around for the best price…
Fuel pump is located inside the gas tank. Fuel filter is located somewhere between the tank and the engine. Answer where is the fuel fillter on a 2002 Nissan altima? The fuel pressure regulator on the 97 is located close to the fuel rail. Can't remember exact location, but if you are standing in front of the car looking at the engine, the pressure regulator is on the left hand side of the fuel rail.
If a 1997 Nissan Altima cuts off at a stop light, there is a problem with the fuel getting to the engine. When you are accelerating, there is pressure and a higher flow of fuel, which is why it won't cut off then. The problem could be a leak in the fuel line, the fuel pump itself, or a fuel filter. It will need to be serviced.
