The fuel filter is in the gas tank on the end of the fuel pump.
The Aveo dose not have one. It uses a screen in the gas tank to filter the fuel.
From what the dealership told me when I got the car, and several times after, the only fuel filter on the car is at the bottom of the gas tank. Since this is a non serviceable fuel filter, it would never have to be replaced.

The Aveo has a non-serviceable paper fuel filter inside the fuel pump. Replacement of the filter requires replacement of the entire pump, so it should only be replaced when the pump itself fail.In newer models, there is an access panel underneath the rear seat that can be used to replace the entire fuel pump. In models without an access panel, the fuel tank must be removed to access the pump from underneath the car.
There is none.
