The fuel pump is mounted on top and inside the fuel tank. The filter may be integrated into to fuel pump or it will be located between the fuel tank and the engine.
If it is a 1993 Mazda MX-6 2.5L Like the one I have the fuel pump is located inside the tank. You have to Remove the pre muffler silencer and heat shield to access it. Once you Unbolt the straps and drop the tank, disconnect the fuel lines and relay and unscrew it counter-clockwise.

On Fuel Pump,located in Fuel Tank on the fuel pump itself,which is located in the fuel tank. on the fuel pump,which is in the fuel tank.

The fuel filter coming in side of the fuel tank on the fuel pump , but i thing no need to change because its hard job. I have 2003 model Mazda 6 alreday 196000 KM & i did not change the fuel filter. Regards Abdullah al brahim from K.S.A
If it is fuel injected the fuel pump will be located inside the fuel tank.
In intake manifold under fuel rails.
All MX-6 fuel pumps are located in the fuel tank. They are only accessible fromthe top of the tank. You need to disconnect everything and lower the fuel tank. Hope this Helps, '94 MX-6 LS Owner
I've been told there is no separate fuel filter. its built into the pump
