In the fuel tank. If you're not mechanically inclined, take it to a proffessional (Like me). If so, it's not too hard to replace, just a little elbow grease, grunting and a very expensive pump. It's easiest to remove the fuel tank if it's atleast 3/4 empty. IF not, you're looking at a little fun and you'll probably need an extra hand or a rigged contraption to slowly let it down (DON'T DROP IT!!!!!, also, use the extra hand and not the contraption). There are 4 bolts that hold up the fuel tank, each set has 1 metal strap.Loosen al four bolts with friend holding up gas tank, then help him slowly lower it. On the top, there should be a harness for the fuel pump, and some clips. BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO BREAK THE CLIPS!!! The fuel pump should twist counter clockwise and then lift up, it's one whole assembly.
in the gas tank
On a 2000 Chevy Monte Carlo it is along the frame rail on the drivers side
The 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo fuel filter is located inside of the gas tank. You will need to drain the gas tank in order to access the fuel filter.

The fuel pump comes as a module and is located in the gas tank.jd
It's located in the gas tank.
how do you access the fuel pump on 1995 monte carlo?
General motors does not have a fuel shut off switch.
The fuel pump is located inside of the gas tank, you must drop the tank to get to it.
On a 1995 Monte Carlo, the fuel pressure regulator is located on the right side of the engine. The regulator is on the lower right hand side of the cylinder valves.
Mounted on top and inside the fuel tank.
I have a 1996 Monte Carlo Z34, and I've noticed that the fuel gauge reading will bounce around whenever the car is tipped up or down as the fuel sloshes around in the gas tank.
