im not sure on the newer ones put i replaced my uncles in his 1999 and his is in the fuel tank look for a diagram
Lift pump on a 2007 dodge 2500
The fuel pump on a 2005 Ram with a Cummins is not adjustable. If you want more power or smoke you need to purchase and instal a programmer.
It is in the fuel tank.
You start by removing the fuel pump, installation is the reverse of removal.
The lift pump must have failed, or the pick up tube in the tank has broken.
All fuses are in the under hood fuse box.
The 2003 has an electronic lift pump. The system is self priming if the lift pump is working.
The fuel system on a 2003 is self bleeding, just start cranking the engine.
The original location was on the back side of the fuel filter housing. The parts kit from Dodge moves it into the fuel tank.
The factory location for the lift pump is on the driver side of the block, below the fuel filter. The factory repair kit moves it to the fuel tank.
Cam sensor on a 2006 Dodge Cummins is found just below the fuel injection pump. It is attached to back of the timing gear housing. It is attached with an Allen head bolt.
The fuel lift pump is located on the left-rear side of the engine cylinder block above the starter motor
