I believe if it is the same as my 1995 countour, then there is one under the hood by the drivers side tire. There is also one under the dash board on the passanger side. However, I may be wrong. the fuse box on a 97 Ford Contour is under the dashboard on the drivers side... its a little box and theres a button you have to press on the right of it and it will pop down.
