In the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) located in the engine compartment between the battery and the drivers side fender
( # 13 is a 15 amp fuse for the HEGO sensor )

There isn't any fuse then is linked to the alternator on a 1996 Mercury cougar. The alternator has an internal regulator, but does not have a fuse.

airbags have sensors crash senor and a safety sensor in order for the airbag to deploy both these sensors have to be tripped. There is no fuse. I have a 1996 Chevy truck and in the fuse panel there is a 10 amp fuse clearly marked airbag??

Flashers are next to the fuses in the fuse box under the dash.
Upper most left 20 amp fuse in fuse box, located above emergency brake pedal. Also controls emergency flashers according to Mercury manual. Should be extra 20 amp fuse and fuse puller on fuse box cover.
