airbags have sensors crash senor and a safety sensor in order for the airbag to deploy both these sensors have to be tripped. There is no fuse.
I have a 1996 Chevy truck and in the fuse panel there is a 10 amp fuse clearly marked airbag??
THEY MAY ALL BE ON THE SAME FUSE, CHECK THE FUSE BOX FOR A BLOWN FUSE
Check for a blown fuse. It could have 2 fuses. Maybe an inline fuse along with the fuse in the fuse panel.
Easy look at the fuse box under the steering wheel and look for a blown fuse then replace it with a larger one. If that blows then you have a short to ground. That first answer is so unhelpful! The fuse you're looking for is in the fuse box on the left side of the steering wheel. It's labeled ACC (diagram is on the fuse box cover) and is a 15 amp fuse. I just had my stereo and cigg lighter stop working. I changed the fuse and all is right in the world. Good luck to you!
If all tail lights/stop lights are out could be fuse If only one side is out --probably bad fixture on that side
Looking at the 2002 Ford Explorer Sport (2 door) owner's manual, I found: in location # 13 of the fuse panel on the driver's end of the dash, a 15 amp fuse for stoplamps, high mounted stoplamp, and speed control. Since your high mounted stop lamp works the fuse should be good, have you checked the 2 bulbs to see if one of the filaments is broken on each bulb ? The only other fuses for brake lights are for towing location # 3 - 7.5 amp fuse trailer tow right hand stop/turn lamps location # 7 - 7.5 amp fuse trailer tow left hand stop/turn lamps
I guess you can remove the Fuse that makes the airbag work! Open the hood and you'll see a fuse box on the top right hand side under the hood. Open the Fuse Box and you'll see the Fuse Map under it. Check which Fuse makes the Airbags work. Find the fuse and remove it. This will stop your Airbags from working. But in the first place, I suggest Airbags is s good safety feature. Let it be the way it is!
fix the airbag.
You probably have a short in your abs system which has blown your fuse try pulling the fuse. This happened in my 2000 sunfire and I pulled the fuse and all the gauges work now.
This could possible be as simple as cheking the fuse. If the fuse for the airbag system is good, there are numerous other reasons. My suggestion would be to purchase a Chilton's Manual for your Aerostar. You can get them from most autopart stores. They have decent step-by-step troubleshooting guides. It absorbs some of the impact.
When these light stay on its an indication that something is wrong and needs to be serviced.
its the same fuse as the brake lights. Look in the fuse box under the hood. Its on the firewall along the passenger side. Look at the diagram on the bottom of the fuse box lid and find the 20A fuse labelled "STOP" (or something similar). There is a small fuse pulling tool inside the fuse box too.
AnswerI had this problem on my '98 Plymouth Breeze. You can pull the fuse/relay and it will stop the horn but the problem is a short located on the airbag/horn button on the steering column. The airbag has plastic washers that wear out over time and allows the short to occur. The fix is to disconnect the battery, pull the airbag off and replace the plastic washers. BE VERY CAREFUL SINCE AN AIRBAG IS LIKE A MINI EXPLOSIVE DEVICE.
It is most likely the wiper stalk/switch. Try pulling the fuse for the wipers. If that stops them, then it is the stalk/switch.
Stop it, remove it from the system, get it thouroughly checked before re deploying.
Yes
Theone pulling out from a stop sign. The parking lot ALWAYS yields to the flow of traffic on the main thoroughfare.
