Hi,
reverse light not working on suzuki swift 96, some time it does some time nothing, i have checked the fuse they all ok, so i am wondering if there is another fuse box between the main fuses box and the relay.

Dead short to ground in reverse light circuit?
The reverse lights automatically come on as you put the car into reverse , if they are not coming on your most likely problem is the fuse or bulbs
Check reverse light circuitry Socket shorted to ground? Replace fuse with a test light - put vehicle in reverse if shorted to ground light will illuminate chase down circuit until you find "short" (switch , wiring, bad socket, etc.)
reverse light switch or wiring may be bad
a. is the power on? b. have you put your foot on the brake ? c. has the bulb/fuse gone?
backup light bulb socket is dirty or a wire is shorting out somewhere. check the bulb socket first.
In the 1988 Nissan the alternator, instrument panel, and backup lights shared a fuse. Before changing a fuse see if the backup lights work (have someone watch when you are in reverse). If the neutral start/backup light switch is broken internally, it can be blowing the fuse when you put the car in reverse.
Light comes on automatically when you put transmission in reverse, must be built in safety.
No because the licence plate light would only light up when you put the car in reverse. it is a seprate system. On the 2003 they are on the same fuse.
One of your wires that have to do with the Reverse light are touching a another wire that they shouldent be touching ( + is touching a - ) it makes the fuse blow...if any changes made recently with any wires rewire or check if correctly wired
You might have a corroded fuse connector or some other intermittent connection. Check the color of the blades on the fuse. If they are tarnished, clean them up or replace the fuse and when you put it back in coat the fuse with contact grease to protect from future corrosion.
put a stick of dunamite in light the fuse and run I guess
