Dead short to ground in reverse light circuit?
You have a short to ground. Look on your trans for a wire that is frayed/damaged etc from the reverse indicator. If you don't find any there, look around your reverse lights in the rear.
Ck the heater fan motor resistor .
A wire is shorting to ground.
One of your wires that have to do with the Reverse light are touching a another wire that they shouldent be touching ( + is touching a - ) it makes the fuse blow...if any changes made recently with any wires rewire or check if correctly wired

The fuse for a 1998 F250 is in the fuse panel that is located under the hood of the vehicle. There are may different fuses for the vehicle that are located in this fuse panel.
sometimes when the lights blow out the fuse also blows out. check the fuse!!
