Check your owners manual, there is a diagram of the box and each one is numbered/labelled with circuit or state vehicle/engine.
The fuse box is located on the driver side, open door and look on the left side of the panel. There you will find the fuse box. You will have to look for the tail light fuse, but it is there.

the fuse box is on the left side of the dash you can see it only when the driver side door is open.
The fuse box is under the dash between the steering column and the left side of the car.. the fuse for the tail lights is not listed as tail light but parking light position 8C... I know because I just replaced mine

There is a little compartment (usually people use of cigarettes or coins) on the left side of the steering wheel. Remove the compartment because behind it the fuse box. On the inner side of the compartment you can find explanations for each fuse in the fuse box including the tail light fuse.
Passenger side near the door hinge on the dash housing.
Check the fuse, it is a separate fuse for the right and left side as well as for the tail light and turn signals.
If all tail lights/stop lights are out could be fuse If only one side is out --probably bad fixture on that side
Under your left side cover there are a few black boxes. pull them out of the clip and your fuse is inside. there is also a slot that has spare fuses
the fuse for the tail lights is under the drivers side kick panel ,its the one that is at the far end (closest to the engine bay)the dash light one is under the left hand side (Passenger)kick panel
It is Fuse #14 in the fuse box located under the drivers side dash
