It is real easy to get a owners manual on one of the suction sites like ebay, cheap. The 90/96 zcars have a fuse box under the dash left side and another one top side of engine under the hood. They are well marked.

On the 89- 300zx the mass air flow sensor is located under the panel that is between the head lights. remove the panel and you will find the air filter box. the maf is bolted directly to the filter box
They are located directly on the turbos. 300zx have internally wastegated turbos
I found to just take out the 10 amp fuse located driverside fuse compartment located by rubber foot rest. The fuse on the bottom left. You will lose the ability to use your interior lights. This doesn't work. I tried it and got caught by the owner, who was also a cop. It was only my second strike though.
As far as I know, as long as you don't mind no radio or interior lights, look in your fuse panel, there's a 10 amp fuse located directly to the right of the two large box fuses all alone on it's row. Remove it, and you'll be golden.
The vacuum modulator on a 300zx should be located on the rear of the engine. It is on the passenger side at the top, close to the firewall.
There are no shortcuts for this repair. You have to remove the entire dash. Its located on the pasenger side behind the dash just above the radio and climate controls.
