The gas cap release for a Mitsubishi Diamante is located in the trunk, on the left side. There is a cable with a handle on it running down from the top left of the trunk, and you'll need to pull it to manually release the gas cap.

On the driver side door just above the little storage spot there are two buttons one is for gas cap, and the other is the trunk....

if your talking about the gas-tank fill door-the release lever is located just above the trunk release lever (on most models with interior fill-door release). it is marked with a "gas pump with hose".
Push in gas cap door it will release
You just push on the gas cap door. There is no remote release.
Usually unleaded mate. Although you can put anything in the gas tank that unleaded, I know to get the best out of the car I always Put 93 which is premium. When I use this it always makes my Diamante run so much better.
It is in the trunk... on the right side you should see a green circle behind the gas cap... pull it out it will release the gas cap..
There is a fuel vapor leak I think.... Tighten your gas cap or change your gas cap if leaking... if none of this work... bring your car to a mechanic.
Push the gas cap door in and it will pop open.
The gas cap release in the s2000 is on the right side of the door opening about 10 inches from the bottom. It's a little knob that you pull on.
