the Jeep Liberty gas filter is inside the fuel tank. It is not meant to be changed at any regular service interval. It is possible to change it, but requires alot of hassling around. From what I remember, the fuel tank is reached by going through the rear deck panel. Refer to jeepforum.com in the Jeep Liberty section of the forum.
