I thought this question was a joke, but apparently there was an area somewhere in the 16th Century Balkan Peninsula known as Little Egypt because it was believed that these nomadic people were from Egypt. [Actually they are from India.] Also, there may have been other Little Egypts in Europe since then, including England.
