Yes it does. It is an electric servo, not manuel. You open the door by squeezing a switch just under the handle, or by pressing the "rear hatch" button on your remote.
Open rear hatch and remove 2 screws that hold tailight on and pull out
There is no inside "trunk" - rear hatch release button on the Windstar. The only way to open it is at the rear hatch itself.
a condom
May be a BCM glitch or the rear trunk latch there is a recall from gm about the rear hatch latch
When you open the door to get into the car, you will see a knob just behind the parking brake lever. Just pull it straight up and the rear hatch lock will release.
Check your rear accuator. It is a black box with a brown rod on it. It is located underneath the rear hatch paneling. Hook up 12 volts to it after its out and see if the accuator moves. Don't put the voltage on it very long either.
Drivers side of the dashboard next to the door pillar - immediately above the hood release.
check the wiring behind the switch...they corrode
To answer the question that's easier . what they did is extend the warranty for the front wheel bearing to 5 year 60,000 miles. that's what they did on my 02 i don't know about other years. the best thing is to contact Buick give them your vin number and they can tell you . I received a letter from Buick which told me about the warranty.i think they will reimburse you for repairs you have done but once again contact Buick its not considered a recall. only other recall for a 02 rendezvous was the rear hatch latch. easiest is to call the dealer and the other answer though good information does not help, being the front wheel bearing is not a recall.
