There is only the speed sensor and the range switch.
Try replacing the upstream O2 sensor
The transfer case is bolted to the rear of the transmission Engine / transmission / transfer case ( front to rear ) on 4x4
Bank 1 is the passenger side of your engine Sensor 2 is in the exhaust after it passes through the catalytic converter ( downstream )
The only "sensors" on the transmission are the speed sensor at the top in back, and the range switch on the front.
To let the PCM know that the engine is warm enough for closed loop mode.
