The idle air control (IAC) valve is located on the throttle body. It is the upper of the two units located there. The lower one is the throttle position sensor (TPS).If I had an idol control valve, that jerk Simon and dummy Ryan would have been out of a job a long time ago.
It should be at the base of the throttle body.
The price for an idle air control valve depends on the year, make, and model of the vehicle. They are priced from $27 to $120. Some of the brands available are Motorcraft, Delphi, ACDelco, and O.E.M.
The idle adjustment screw of the idle control valve is what needs adjusting. Either opening or closing the valve moves the throttle plate and adjusts the idle.
Idol air control valve maybe. In my 01cougar the idol air control went out and it made a loud noise that sounded like it was comming from the air box
The idle air control valve is located under the throttle body. It is mounted on the bottom and it has a 3-wire plug along with 2 coolant lines.
there should be two small bolts just use a small socket and losen the bolts and remove the plug in harness. And the same is in reverse.
Try cleaning the Idol Air Control valve with carb cleaner and Q tips. Look up the instructions before you try anything.
