If it is in the stock factory location it sits on the right rear part of the intake manifold it may have been moved. The easiest way to find it is to trace the center plug wire off the distributor cap it goes directly to the coil.
UNDER THE COIL PACKS
The 1998 Toyota ignition coil is located on the firewall, in the engine compartment. The ignition coil can be found on the passenger side of the firewall.
