Lower side of engine block on passengers side, best reached from under the vehicle.
Which engine do you have, need more info.
HEI? inside the distributor cap
If this is the 4.3 engine, it is located on the bracket next to the ignition coil.
go to a repair shop they'll tell you
When looking at the engine, the coil will be on the passenger side of the engine. Look at the air intake tube box, follow it up to the throttle body. Next to the throttle body on will be the coil. Its a single coil, not coil over plug design. Erik
Chevy did not use a crankshaft sensor in 1995.If it won't fire then I would check the ignition module in the distributor and more then likey replace it. Also check the ignition coil and WIRE / coil wire.
It has a coil pack but no distributor.
Hey Tia== Make sure they are replacing it with the correct coil. Then have them check the voltag going to the coil . It should be about 8 NOT 12volts. It has a resistance wire cutting down the voltage. GoodluckJoe
Check condition of the plugs, could also be coil pack(s) going out, if ignition looks good check compression all cylinders
What year is your s10? What size engine do you have? My '98 s10 with 2.2l 4-cyl doesn't have a distributor. Instead, it has ignition coils. If you can see your spark plug wires, you can always trace them from the plug to the coil or distributor. Good luck!
Most major auto parts stores can get you a diagram of the ignition wiring for a 1995 S10 Blazer. You can also research the ignition wiring at your local library.
