there is a 1/8th inch hole in the bottom of the locking mec, just to the left of center if you are lying on your belly in the boot with the seats down put a pointed probe in the hole and flick the mec, with the boot will now open. I found that the earth wire had broken where the loom goes from the boot to the car. ie;- inside the rubber harness therfore the electrics would not work thus the boot would not open, rejoined the wire hey presto all working again
