Don't know if anyone else has needed this answer or not, but this was my question orginally. The Haynes manual says it is located underneath, drivers side of the block, just ahead of the oil filter. It has a picture, but it's not there on a 4x4. The service department at my local dealership told me the same info. Yesterday I finally found it. Look down from the TOP, to the drivers side of the distributor, just below the bottom of the distributor. It's tight to get to, but I could get a 7/8th deep socket on it. Hope this helps.
The VSS is located in the top left hand side of the transfer case.
where the map sensor on 98 blazer?
Location of knock sensor 1991 GM sierra 350 2500?
There is no "knock sensor" on a 4.0L engine
The knock sensor is located on the left side of the block. Often the steering shaft will contact and wrap the wiring harness around it, braking the connector. You should check this first, before replacing the sensor.
Where is the horn located on a 1993 chevy blazer
No.
The function of the knock sensor ob a sensor on a 1991 4.3 s10 is to provide the computer the position of the crank shaft to give it the right information to get correct timing. That would be the crank position sensor. The knock sensor monitors the engine for spark knock (ping) so the ECM (Engine Control Module) can retard the timing to eliminate it.
The knock sensor on Nissan 300ZX non-turbo from 1990 thru 1996 is located below the lower intake manifold on the rear of the engine block. To replace the knock sensor the upper and lower intake manifolds need to be removed. It is always best to replace the knock sensor with a new one considering its major dissasembly.
Haynes makes a manual with the wiring schematic for the O2 sensor on a 1991 Chevy Blazer S10. The manual can be found at most book stores.
It is located right above the starter for a 5.7l V8, not sure for the 4.3 or 5.0, probably the same place
it is under the distributor.
