There are two knock sensors located under the midpoint of the heads, under the center spark plug, partially coverd by a heat shield. They are screwed in vertically and must be accessed from below. WARNING: Before you remove a knock sensor, the engine must be cold and cooling system properly drained. Steam or hot coolant can cause severe injury and burns - coolant is toxic.
