I don't know. There should be a public registry for dishonorably discharged service members much like the one for sex offenders. This makes it harder for them to lie to obtain employment. Also it would allow many websites, such as Facebook, DeviantArt, FictionPress.com, etc. to be able to deny service to those who dishonored themselves and their country.

You shouldn't be able to. Dishonorable discharge is nothing that the person OR THE MILITARY is particularly proud of, so I would say that this list is not availble to just anyone.

Did US Navy Waves in World War 2 get a dishonorable discharge if they got pregnant?

"I would think so" is a really stupid answer! WAVES were either given dishonorable discharges for getting pregnant or they were not. It has to be documented somewhere. You cannot answer, "Maybe".

What does the term 'Discharge' mean from US Marines Reserve Corps?

It means that they no longer have a duty to the US Marine Corps. An Honorable Discharge means that they have fulfilled their duty and obligations. A Dishonorable Discharge would mean that they have been declared unfit to fulfill them and relieved of their obligations.

How do you find a military dishonorable discharge record?

For an individual's complete military service record, you send a request to the National Personnel Records Centre in St. Louis, MO. See related link at the bottom.

My father's discharge papers list 3 bronze battle stars how can I find out what they were awarded for?

Your father's discharge will list what the three battle stars were for. There is a section on the discharge titled: "awards and decorations" where they can be found. They will probably be "abbreviated" in military "shorthand", which can be deciphered by going (or calling) a local American Legion Post, VFW or a Veteran's Service Officer at many local, state and Federal government offices.

Are you a Veteran if still in the service?

Anyone who is either on Active Duty, Reserves, or is a former service member is considered a military Veteran. However, recognition and status is based on the type of discharge - dishonorable or bad conduct discharges strip you of all Veteran's rights.
