If I am remembering correctly it is about half way up the passengers side of the trans, There will be one lower as well for draining.
Fill until fluid runs out the upper hole. it's actually about half way up on the drivers side not the passenger side on the manual transmission. I've had a 91 and i now own an 85 and they are both located in the same area. filling until it's level with the fill hole is correct.
nope. the last 4runners with the manual transmission were 3rd generation 4runners
No dipstick, just filler level plugs on the transmission and the transfer boxes.
it depends if it is an automatic transmission it takes atf (automatic transmission fluid) if it's a manual it takes gear oil
21mm socket or wrench
Toyota 4runner
24mm or use a 15/16 for a little tighter fit if its dorked up
For automatic trans you refill the fluid thru the dipstick and for manual theres a fill hole in the tranny..
where is the neutral safety on my 1987 4runner
The transmission fluid filler is located in the back of the engine compartment on the 2007 Accent manual transmission. You fill it by removing the dipstick.
A Manual Transmission has no "Filler Cap" there is a Filler Plug on the side of the transmission where you check and fill from. I advise purchasing a manual if you plan on D.I.Y. Here is an online source http://www.themotorbookstore.com/mitsubishi2.html Hope This Helps.
Is this an automatic or manual transmission?
4.8 on a manual shift.
