map sensor
The 2000 Mazda Protégé map sensor is located next to the system computer. The map sensor and the system computer can be found behind the kick plate on the passenger side of the passenger compartment.
Map sensor is located on the hose going from the filter box to the throttle body. There is only one sensor in that area.
There is no MAP sensor on a 1999-2000 Mazda Miatas. There is a boost sensor that assists with controlling the EGR Valve solenoid and a few other features, and is located on the passenger side on the lower part of the intake manifold, and says "Boost Sensor" on it. The primary sensor for monitoring incoming air and fueling is done by the Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF), not MAP (like Hondas). This is located on top of the stock air box and is a black, cylindrical tube about 6" long.
Under the hood on the firewall passenger side it will say hitachi boost sensor on the top of it
At the top of the engine near the windshield on the passenger side.
Open the metal covering on the top of your engine. MAP sensor is located on the firewall right in front on you - it is located about 12" to the right of the oil fill cap
The map sensor is on the air intake line to the throttle body....
it is mounted to the strut tower between it and the firewall on the passenger side
The map sensor is on the passenger side near the shock tower. Make sure the plastic nipple isn't snapped off.
It depends on what engine you have. I have the Dt466 engine in mine and my MAP sensor is located on top of the valve cover towards the front of the engine it has a three prong pigtail on it.
