Probably the ignition switch. HavE IT CHECKED OUT> neutral safety switch......located under the shifter panel
The neutral safety switch is located on top of the transmission at the gear selector cable attachment at the front of the engine compartment next to the battery box.The connections are accessible by removing the battery and battery box. The switch also acts as a range finder and actuates other signals to the electronic control module as well as the starter interrupt function.
The switch is just across from the battery located in the rad reservor, to remove it and clean the sensor probe, you have to remove the battery.
The fuel cutoff / inertia switch is located in the trunk on the left side quarter panel under the carpet. Most have a rubber boot on them.

the ford probe cut off switch is located in the boot(trunk) under the rear wash wipe bottle,if the button is out its active if not its fine.

If you are talking about the inertia switch, it is in the hatch on the driver's side under the floor mat behind the wheel well.
it is on the bottom left side of the trunk must take entire panal to see it
it is in the back in the trunk. it is on the drives side in the bottom, kinda in the floor then there should be a switch in there. its just a white push button ACE
the fuel pump shut off switch is in the trunk at the back on the drivers side, underneath a carpet/wood cover.
