20-50 motor oil
SAE 30 oil
10W-30 motor oil is recommended for use in a Cub Cadet hydrostatic zero turn lawnmower. Any brand of oil is acceptable.
Hi, your Eaton model 6 hydrostatic transmission requires straight 30 weight oil according to the manual.
On an auto, it's down the dip stick tube. On a manual it goes in the speedo drive hole where it covers the drive teeth and about 5mm above. Don't over fill.
Disconnect cable from speedo drive on the box. Remove screw holding drive. Remove the speedo drive from the gearbox. The oil level is measured on the drive. The oil should cover the teeth and about 5mm above . The oil is added through this hole. Don't over fill.
You must remove the speedo drive gear to fill the gearbox.
The question is how did oil get in the fuel tank? If there was very little oil put in the tank as in less than a couple of quarts then just fill the tank full and drive the car. The oil will be burned with the fuel and will do no harm. If there was more than a couple of quarts, you can siphon it out with a hand pump. You can get enough out to then fill the tank and drive the rest out.
If you have a shaft-drive Yamaha, the big gearbox the back wheel is bolted to is the final drive. It's full of 80W90 synthetic hypoid oil, and Yamaha wants you to change it every 16,000 miles. To do so, put your bike on the sidestand, stick a big drain pan under the final drive, remove first the fill plug then the drain plug, and wait till all the oil drains out. (It's easier to do if you ride the bike twenty miles to warm up the gear oil first.) Reinstall the drain plug, put the bike on the centerstand, and fill the final drive with fresh oil until it's right to the bottom of the fill hole. Then reinstall the fill plug and clean the final drive case well to get all the oil off it. Go ahead and change your engine oil at the same time, so long as you're there.
About 20 oz. if it is bone dry, but about only 16 oz. will come out during an oil change so that should be about what it takes to fill it to the full mark on the dipstick.
a pump is driven by the engine of the machine and is linked to the speed set by the operator. It pumps a constant stream of high-pressure oil to the motor. Since the motor is linked to the drive wheels or tracks of the machine, it gives the machine its travel speed.
