As you stand in front of the engine, you'll find the oil filter at the rear of the engine, just slightly off to the left and about a foot down from the top. It's a bear to grab hold of because there's so little room but an oil filter wrench will make life a lot easier and they're not all that expensive (under $5.00).
Be sure that the rubber seal also comes off when you remove the filter. If it doesn't, it'll still be attached to the engine side and when you put the new filter in place, it won't seat properly and it'll leak oil all over the place when you start the engine up, and could cause damage to the engine from lack of oil.
Be sure to coat the rubber gasket on the new filter with a light layer of motor oil to facilitate a better seal when replacing it. The use the filter wrench to reinstall it. Tighten it 'hand tight' and then apply another 1/2 to 3/4 turn to snug it into place.
