Where is the oil filter located on a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer 6 cylinder?

At the base of the engine on the right side. You will need to be under the vehicle. Also, make sure to replace with PF58 instead of PF59 as indicated by the service manual. It is a misprint. PF 59 will cause an oil leak at the crankshaft position sensor.

According to Sewell Cadillac, the correct oil filter is AC Delco PF61. If your not sure like I was, call your local dealer or auto parts store. They will all tell you that it is the PF61. There is actually another posting about the 2004 Trailblazer's oil filter on this web-site confirming the PF61. Check it out for yourself.

most trailblazers have skidplates there is a access panel use flat or Phillips screwdriver to open i use the band wrench lol

You must remove the plastic skid plate on the bottom to reveal the oil filter. All the answers for your Trailblazer from true enthusiasts!

The fuel filter on that 07 Trailblazer is part of the fuel pump module located inside the fuel tank and it is not serviceable by itself.
