If you are under the vehicle is should be right on the engine block facing the front bumper. You kindof have to look up. On some there will be a plastic panel that you can just pull out (it just has pegs that hold it in) and just look up. If you still can't see it... use a flash light I guess. It's on the opposite side of the engine that the drain plug is on. Hope I could help. [{{_~*`PRISCILLA`*~_}}] I just changed the oil in my girlfriend's 2005 Malibu tonight. She has a 2.2 L 4 cylinder and the oil filter on it is actually accessed from the top side of the engine compartments. If you're standing in front of the car looking under the hood (i.e. facing the back of the car), the oil filter is on the right side of the engine, towards to the front of the car. You'll see a black plastic cap with a hexagonal head. The cap twists off with the oil filter still attached, but it easily pops off. You also have to replace the O-ring on the cap.
