The oil filter is located on the driver's side of the engine block, near the rear of the engine. A good reference is to find where the transmission and engine block/oil pan meets. Also, If you can find the oil pan drain plug, take a look directly up from there, and you should be able to spot it.
The oil pressure switch on a 1997 Chevy Blazer is located on the bottom of the engine, near the oil filter. It monitors the output and pressure of the oil pump.

If you go to the front of you Blazer and look underneath the bumper you will find an access panel for your oil filter

The 2 oil coolant lines have 0 rings on them were they go into the filter adpater. REPLACE 0-RINGS. If the adpater is leaking were it bolts to the block, then you need a gasket set for the oil filter adpater.
