The oil filter is located (if you're in front of the vehicle looking toward the windshield) to the right lower front of the engine. In order to change the filter you will need to do it from below the engine. You will have to remove the large metal dust plate, which I believe has 5 bolts that hold it in place. Remove the front ones first, then the rear 2. The plate has metal tabs at the front bolt hole locations to hold it in place so it doesn't hit you in the face. Carefully slide the plate toward the rear and lower it to the ground. Now you will have easy access to the oil filter. Hope this helps.
That is a 4.7 L engine and it requires 6.5 qts of oil when you also are changing the filter. Hope that helps!!
You have to remove the skid plate, then you can change the oil and filter
My 2001 Sequoia takes about 6.5 quarts including the filter.
6.5 qts if you are also changing the filter.
The Toyota sequoia 2002 takes 6.2 liters. This is better because oil is now measured in liters.than again you can convert to quarts.
Jeep Grand Cherokee 2004, Toyota sequoia 2006
6.5 quarts with oil filter changed.
Jeep Grand Cherokee 2004, Toyota sequoia 2006
6.5 qts when changing the filter at the same time. Drain it warm.
A 2001 Toyota Sequoia with the V8 needs 6.5 quarts. Possibly the same engine???
The skid plate does not have to be removed in order to access and change the filter.
The manual says the 4.7L engine holds 6 1/2 qts of oil with the filter.
