Oil filters on cars are usually located on the same side of the engine that you fill your engine with oil. A Holden Commodore SV6 VE Series will be no different. Check the owner manual for the correct amount of liters of oil that this engine requires.

Location of fuel filter on VT CommodoreThe fuel filter is located behind the fuel tank, right near the differential. It is attached to the chassis via a plastic clip, and is a metal in line type. Cost about $20 to replace. Just ensure you purchase the correct one, as the fuel line has special fittings to stop any leakage.
The oil filter on a Holden Captiva Diesel can be located under the alternator. It is next to the engine oil sump plug and at the back of the car's engine.
There are no particular advantages or disadvantages of series or parallel circuits. Some circuits require one while other circuits require the other. Frequency filters often require one or the other depending on whether you need a pass or rejection filter.
Piercing the fuel filter with a screw driver relieves the pressure allowing you to remove the filter without braking the clips.
