it is to the left of the dipstick poking out from just under the rocker cover, has a black cap with a cable running from it. this is in the case of the 1.0 and 1.2 ecotec engine.
the others seem to be at the back somewhere but as i have only had to replace the part on a 1.0 this is the only one i can answer for but it seems from some research that the 1.0 and 1.2 have them in the same position.

It is not uncommon for the switch fitted in the gearbox to fail, resulting in the reversing lights not working when reverse is selected. This fault is common to all cars, not just Vauxhall ones. It can be simple to test (of you know what you are doing) by umplugging the wires from the switch and connecting them (two wires) together using a bent paper clip. If the lights now work the switch is faulty.
Sounds like a blown head gasket.
I had this problem, get a second hand motor off ebay, it seems to be the problem with these cars
It will be in the air duct between the air filter and the engine inlet.Probably a push fit into a rubbery boss.One wiring plug on it.

This car has different names, Opel Vita is the Japanese one. It will be easier to look for Opel Corsa (Europe) or Vauxhall (UK). :)
