Ther are two located on the 3.8 One is located at the top of the downpipe. Look down from the drivers side behind the tranny dipstick, it is sitting right on top just before the bolt on bracket for the downpipe. It's right next to the spark plug in the back, on the drivers side. If you change your spark plugs, you can't miss it. The other one is located at the "U" bend adjacent to the catylitic converter. Stick with an factory O2 sensor. Bosch dont seem to last very long with this engine for some reason. Also this item should be covered under the emissions warranty (which is 5 to 7 years). If so, have the dealer trace the problem. Hope this helps. "G"
The oxygen sensor is mounted in the exhaust down-pipe

it is the upper stream o2 sensor before the convertor
behind the catalytic converter
It is the one after the catalytic converter?
