It is screewed into the exhaust pipe / pipes.
Start up at the engine where the exhaust pipes bolt to the engine and work your way down the pipes towards the muffler and you will see it.
on the back of the throttle body or intake port.

it is on the drivers side of engine block screwed into block near side freeze plugs it is a 2 inch round sensor with a wire on top center of sensor
possibly the oil pressure sending switch...thats whats on my 87 305 h WRONG!!!!!!!!! the oil pressure switch/sensor is where it always is on pushrod small chevy's, under the distributor. what you see next to the right valve cover are the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor, and below that is the EGR control solenoid

A shorted or grounded coolent sensor, A bad computer. Is check engine light on ? if so have engine scaned by a good shop and they can tell you whats up.
