Mine is Civic DX 97. Believe it's the same. Get under your car, take off your oil filter, your PCV valve is right above your oild filter. It's recommended to replace it from there. Good luck!
On a 1998 Civic DX it is located just above the oil filter and under the intake manifold. Working from underneath the car, remove the oil filter and reach up into the cavity above it to pull the PCV valve from the rubber grommet. I think that the 2000 Civic may be similar. Good luck, it is a very tight space to work in.
The PCV valve is hiding on the lower part of the engine to the driver's side of the oil filter. You can see it easily from underneath the car. The valve itself is a metal valve that threads into a port on the block. It can also be accessed from above by moving aside the throttle cables. Unlike most cars the PCV valve does not pop into a grommet on the valve cover. At least this is true of the last 2001 Civic DX that I tuned up. F. Bryan

Just wanted to ask if anyone knows the valve clearance specs. For a 91 civic hatchback DX model. Thank you.
The Civic Ex has Vtec while the Dx does not. Ex is 1.6 and the Dx is 1.5
It is mounted on top and inside the fuel tank.
in a 94 Honda civic dx you have a d16.
the 1999 civic was released a year after the 1998 civic and has an "e" in the suffix whereas the 1998 civic has a "d" in the suffix. Also, the 1998 Honda Civic dX shoots flames from it's exhaust pipe. This was deemed "so nineties" by 1999 by the National What is Cool and What is Not (NWCWN) Board of Directors it's in 1999 national caucus.
