The 2000 Mercury is right at the model change for PCV valves. Some had the valves in a hose under the throttle body. The newer style has no PCV valve at all.
In the valley under the upper intake.
It's on the throttle body.
The 1997 Mercury PCV valve is located on the outside of the air cleaner housing. The PCV valve can be found on the back of the housing.
The 2001 Mercury Sable PCV valve can be found on top of the engine. The PCV valve will be on the back side of the air cleaner housing.

Some of the 2000 models have a PCV valve on the back of the valve cover. The other models do not have a PCV valve, but use an oil/air separator instead.
It is positioned in the valve cover.
The PCV valve for a 2000 Lexus rx300 is on the passenger side of the engine. It is on the valve cover near the back.
if the engine is a 4.6 then you can find it on the left side (looking from front) on the valve cover, it is a little pipe sticking out of it and has rubbertiny tubes going from it
On V6 models the PCV valve is located on the back side of the left valve cover. On V8 models the PCV valve is located on the top of the left valve cover.
