Its not much, as I had an 84 Cougar with this engine. A 90 Ford Probe had a 3.0 V6 with 145 bhp or so and was MUCH quicker. I wanna say it was something like 125 bhp or so.

The PVC valve is located on the engine side cover near the firewall on the passanger side of the engine. Coyote John

i have an 86 vw gti with the 1781cc 8v engine and to my knowledge it doesnt have a egr valve you might have a different engine code but mine has no egr valve so good luck finding it
open the hood, look down between the rad. and the engine. There it is.

In the cap (round) -on the valve cover. Top most portion of the engine.
if not on the valve cover, then this engine will be one of the newer 5.0 engines with an intake manifold similar to that of a mustang. the pcv valve will be located on the backside of the intake manifold near the firewall, you will have to feel for it.
On the top of the engine there is a cap on the top of the valve cover pan. Unscrew the cap and add oil there.
Valve clearance is 0, the engine uses hydraulic lifters. I believe the setting is 0 lash + 1.5 turns, but don't quote me.

yes it has an e.c.m. also an ignition module and brake and suspention controller.
If your engine is a 4 cylinder model, it is a 1985. If it is a 3 cylinder model, it is a 1986.

The 1986 Jeep Comanche EGR valve is located on the outside of the air cleaner housing. The valve can be found on the back of the housing.
The pcv valve is probably on the valve cover.If the engine is blowing oil out of the crankcase or the oil filler tube,it could be the pcv valve.It could also be an indication of internal wear,such as stucking valves,causing the engine to build up excessive pressure.
ALL I know is that the fuse box for things such as the lighter etc is on the drivers side under the dash..and there is one more major fuse box under the hood.
