Count two diodes from the distributor plugs (clockwise) that is number one. The firing order is 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2 (clockwise) This is all regarding you have an hei distributor. If not its the same firing order, but the number one plug should be the one that points at the drivers headlamp, or no. 1 cylinder
