were is the power steering fluid resovoir on vauxhall signum 53 diesel
wherr is the resovoir for 2004 BMW power steering fluid
----------------------------------- Under hood, engine compartment, in the power steering resovoir.
can you tell me the location of the power steering fluid resovoir on a vauxhall vectre v6 3ltr cdti (2004 ), many thanks
Look in the manual.
For the TS Astra with hydraulic-electric power steering, it takes a Pentosin CHF fluid. A couple of equivalents I have come across include Castrol Hydraulic System Mineral Oil Plus, and Penrite LDAS fluid.
youll need a clean turkey baster and bowl. take off the screw on the top of resovoir and drain it from there.
what is the problem with my power steering on astra automatic
The power steering reservoir is on the power steering pump.Looking from the front of car it is on the passenger side on front of engine. just to the right of the radiator recovery tank.
easiest way. make sure you have enough rags or something layed down under the car cos it can get dirty. suck out as much fluid from the p/steering resovoir. disconnect the return line from the pump. i.e. the hose that only has a clamp and not a metal type fitting. plug off the that fitting on the resovoir. hold the hose over a container to catch any fluid. top up resovoir. get someone to click the starter. get someone to crank the engine and keep topping up the fluid until a nice clean amount of fluid come out. reconnect the return hose. adjust level at proper operating temperature. note: the fluid will come out with a fair amount of pressure so don't direct it at anybody. I'd use valvoline Type "d" fluid to refill power steering.
power steering fluid is fluid that makes the power steering pump work and it goes in the power steering pump under the hood.
