It's inside the door itself. Take off the inside door panel, and you'll see it mounted above the motor.

There is no window safety. If you look at contour of door there is no room for a full piece of glass because of rear wheel opening.
That would be EXTREMELY unlikely that any rear window regulator would fit in the front window, same side or not.
