The powertrain control module and the electronic control module are two totally different modules. The ECM controls everything that has to do with the engine like fuel injectors,throttle position sensor,cam sensor ect. the powertrain control module controls just transmission related components like fluid pressure switches, TCC solenoid, transfer case switches.

No such part exists on a Durango.
Dodge uses what is called a "Powertrain Control Module" or PCM this is located on the PASSENGER SIDE inner fender just behind the air box where your air filter is. It will be aluminum colored and looks like a flat box.
