the low coolant sensor is located (facing the front of car)on the left side of radiator 3"-4" below radiator cap.It is attached by a spring retainer clip and has a O ring seal .The replacement cosy is $45-60.00 ea @parts houses. They are known for going haywire...So Uno......master Wrench
"low coolant? sensor location, NOT "engine temperature" sensor location is of passenger side of radiator tank. remove headlamp assembly for a direct visual on sensor. it is a black plastic square on side of radiator lower than the upper radiator hose inlet. has a two wire connector
The engine computer uses the coolant temperature sensor to decide when to activate the radiator fans. That sensor is the two wire one near where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine. The engine computer uses the coolant temperature sensor to decide when to activate the radiator fans. If an engine light is still on after replacing a fan's radiator sensor in a RFW engine the coolant sensor should also be checked. If the coolant sensor is bad it will send an error code to the car's computer.
it should be in one of the coolant lines leading up to the radiator.
on my 1992 lumina z34 its about 5 inches from top on passenger side of car directly below radiator fill spout
The coolant temperature is measured by the sensor that is screwed in to the engine next to where the upper radiator hose attaches.
The coolant temperature sensor is the two wire sensor near to where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine.
The engine computer uses the signal from the coolant temperature sensor to decide when to activate the radiator fan relay.
The 95 Lumina with a 3.1 engine does not have a temperature sending unit. Instead, the dash temp gauge is controlled by the engine coolant temp sensor. This sensor is located on the driver's side, top of the engine.
The engine computer uses the coolant temperature sensor that is located close to where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine to decide when to actuate the fan.The engine computer uses the coolant temperature sensor that is located close to where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine to decide when to actuate the fan.
If you mean the engine coolant temp sensor it should be on the drivers side of the engine block. Follow your top radiator hose from the radiator to the engine block. near that you should see a sensor (it has a clip on it where the wires attach). I hope my description helps!
Follow the lower radiator hose from the radiator to the back of the engine. Where it connects to the engine, you will see wires plugged in to the sensor
