It's on the left hand lower corner of the radiator. To access it, you'll need to remove the plastic guard underneath the car. You should be able to see the drip hose of about 10cm long sticking out.
The crankcase drain plug on a 2007 Polaris scrambler 500 is hard to locate. However, it is behind the bolt in the skid plate.

My next guess, in this form of troubleshooting, would be a wiring harness problem / fuse problem / pass through or plug problem. IE The computer is telling something to work, but the signal is not getting to the right place.

The oil level/fill plug is located between the tires low on the body. It's a plug that takes an Allen wrench to remove. Park on level surface remove plug. When full the oil is at the bottom of the plug hole. Capacity 6 quarts per side SAE 10W-30 engine oil. Oil change interval 500 hours. Drain plug location rear bottom. Drain and flush with solvent is recommended.
Either learn how to weld and install an new bung or buy a new pan. They range in price from $500 for OEM to $70 for the JC whitney special. Honda oil pans are natorious for drain plaugs stripping out.
If it's the suzuki 500 engine, it's down on the right foot area. Follow the coolant hose around the oil filter and down where it attaches to the water pump. There is a 10mm bolt, pointing downwards, underneath the water pump. Remove this bolt before removing the radiator cap, this should keep the messy draining to a minimum. I would suggest having a wide container to catch splatter to also help keep the mess small. Hope this helps you out.
The oil in a polaris trail boss 250 cc can be changed by first opening the hood of the car and figuring out where the oil valve is located. Remove the cover and then use a siphon to remove the bad oil. Then simply funnel in the new oil.
