You have to remove the transmission from the vehicle, then remove the flexplate from the crankshaft. The seal is directly behind the flexplate.

You remove the trans and flywheel. The seal then drives in from the rear.

There is one on each end of the crankshaft. The front main seal is at the pulley and, while the rear main is at the transmission end.

You can replace the rear Main seal on the oil pump of your Dodge ram 1505.9 L pickup truck by removing the camshaft bearing. Once the bearing is removed the seal can be removed with a seal puller. Reverse the process to install the new seal.
