The engine oil life and the maintenance item code(s) will begin to blink. Push the select/reset knob 1x and all items will blink; then press and hold button until it resets. (about 5 seconds). CRV Owners manual is missing the step of pressing that button 1x 6. The maintenance item code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100%. It specifically explains the procedure in the owners manual. It is a simple procedure using the odometer reset button on the dashboard. Unless the owners manual explains it far better than the 2007 version the info is incorrect. I will be giving this reply a run in my 2007 later today.
