The service port is on the low pressure line or accumulator. DO NOT under any circumstances use a refrigerant with a stop leak as it will void any warranty and make a mess of the system. To service the unit you MUST know how much is in it and weigh EXACTLY the amount going in. It is best and cheaper to consult a certified repair shop to do the repairs. That is best left to a professional as it requires EXACT measurements of refrigerant. There can be NO guesswork.
The 2001 Chevrolet Impala low side service port can be found on the top of the air conditioner compressor. The port will be labeled as the low pressure port.

The low pressure service port on your Chevrolet K 1500 air conditioning compressor will be the one closest to the front of the engine compartment. The low pressure service port should be labeled.
The low side service port for the AC on a 2001 Alero is located on the hose that runs from the accumulator to the compressor. It is the larger of the two hoses coming off the compressor.
Take it back to the shop or one that specializes in air conditioner work. I feel that you have a defective pressure cycling switch. They give alot of trouble.
The service port is by the Firewall, just below the Passenger's Side Windshield Wiper Arm Shaft.....
Its in the biggest line trace it from your a/c compressor.

After a bit of looking, I answered my own question. The 2008 impala low pressure 134A air conditioning service port is located about 6 inches forward of the firewall, center of engine compartment. It is most easily viewed from the right side of the vehicle and it pointed in that direction.
